Fringe World Festival: Cinematic Scores IV and more

Listen/Hear Collective is co-presenting an awesome evening with Parentheses Records and PS Art Space in Fremantle on Feb 22 at 8pm as a part of the Perth Fringe World Festival.

Part new media installation, part performance, The Cinematic Scores offer a unique marriage of film and music. Musical ensembles are invited to respond to a selection of short silent films from the public domain by composing an original score for each of the moving pictures. Presented as a cinematic installation within the monumental ground floor of PS Art Space, the experience is mesmerising and deeply poetic. It is cinema like you have not experienced before.

This will be the fourth chapter of the Cinematic Scores, which has been hugely successful at its home of PS Art Space over the past two years, this year featuring Johannes Luebbers, Mace Francis and Kynan Tan. This promises to be a great night so head on down and don't miss out!

Also as a part of the exciting Perth Fringe World Festival, Johannes Luebbers has also composed the music to an exciting dance performance titled 'Hunger' which will be on show 21 and 22 Feb at 6.30pm at the Blue Room Theatre in Northbridge.

Performed by classically trained Chinese contemporary dancer Min Zhu and actor, dancer and improviser Or Kittikong from Thailand. Direct from the Bangkok Theatre Festival, Hunger is a new movement work exploring love, happiness and our constant desire for more.
